Everyone has experienced the harm of gossip.
Gossip can be defined as information about the behavior or personal life of other people, often without the full truth revealed or known.
Think long and hard before you gossip or share gossip.
I MYSELF had to really look at myself in the mirror and realize that I was no better than who I used to talk about.
I TOOK ACCOUNTABILITY for that and had to repent and ask God for forgiveness.
Now, look at yourself and ask yourself next time you fix your lips to speak about someone.. am I any better than the person I’m speaking about?
Am I hiding something behind closed doors that I’m ashamed of?
Because who are we to judge the next?
When the time comes to be judged before God He can easily turn away because we talk about other people instead of obeying his law by loving or helping them, correcting them in truth and love
We talked about other people and how they choose to live but behind closed doors, we’re NO BETTER.
What if we looked in the mirror at our own flaws long enough and actually did the work on ourselves?
It’s not hard to MIND YOUR BUSINESS or simply say “that has nothing to do with me”.
Really take a step back and look into your own life and reflect on that.
Matthew 12:36 “But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken”
Psalm 101:5 “Whoever slanders their neighbor in secret; I will put to silence”
2 Timothy 2:16 “Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly”
Exodus 23:1 “Do not spread false reports. Do not help a guilty person by being a malicious witness”
Leviticus 19:16Do not go about spreading slander among your people. “ ‘Do not do anything that endangers your neighbor’s life. I am the LORD.
Psalms 41All of those who hate me talk about me, whispering to each other, plotting evil against me
